Junior High vs Beech Grove Middle School Win Maddie Lacy collected three hits in four at bats, as GCJH Blue defeated Beech Grove Middle School 12-0 on Thursday. Maddie Lacy tripled in the third inning, singled in the first inning, and doubled in the fourth inning. GCJH Blue got on the board in the top of the first inning after Maddie Lacy singled to center field, and Camilla Aldridge walked, each scoring one run. GCJH Blue added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Rylee Conaway doubled down the left field line, Maddie Lacy tripled to center field, Olivia S doubled down the left field line, Camilla Aldridge tripled down the right field line, and Adi Barton singled to center field, each scoring one run. Riley Batkin opened the game for GCJH Blue. The starting pitcher allowed zero hits(a no hitter!) and zero runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking one. GCJH Blue tallied 15 hits in the game. Camilla Aldridge and Kyla Aaroz were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for GCJH Blue. Rylee Conaway, Chesney Herbst, and Scarlett Richer each collected multiple hits for GCJH Blue. GCJH Blue had patience at the plate, accumulating five walks for the game. . GCJH Blue were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Maddie Lacy had the most chances in the field with eight.
